Show Map

The Show Map action displays an interactive world map with the current positions of vessels from active voyages. The action is available from the toolbar in the Voyages module folder.

The map is based on coordinates from vessel Daily Reports and provides a consolidated view of all voyages currently in the Active state.

How It Works

• Vessel positions are determined using coordinates from the latest available daily report;

• If the latest daily report does not contain coordinates, the system uses coordinates from the previous report;

• General voyage information is displayed in the upper-right corner of the map;

• The map supports zooming using the mouse wheel or the zoom slider in the lower-left corner.

Vessel Location View

By default, the map displays the current location of each vessel.
Selecting a vessel icon highlights the corresponding voyage and displays additional voyage information.

Route View Mode

Clicking a vessel icon switches the map to Route View Mode for the selected voyage.

In this mode, the vessel route is plotted using coordinates recorded in daily reports. The route starts from the Estimated Time of Departure (ETD) of the first port call and ends at the Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) of the last port call.

Blue dots on the route represent individual daily reports with recorded vessel positions. Hovering over a marker displays the following information:

• Report date and time;

• Vessel name;

• Recorded coordinates.
