Transition Report
The Transition Report generates a consolidated list of vessel calls for selected vessels within a specified period. The report is accessed from the More Actions submenu as .
An administrative setting is available that automatically creates a port call (as a Port Agent Module object) for each transition included in a voyage.
In a standard configuration, transitions and the port calls generated from them are expected to match in key parameters such as ETA/ETD, port, vessel, and type. After creation, transitions and port calls remain independent objects and may be edited separately.

Configuring Transition Report Parameters
Period Type
The Period Type field defines the reporting interval:
Predefined period types (for example, the previous calendar year) automatically populate the and date fields.
Date values remain read-only unless the Custom period type is selected, which enables manual date entry.
Changing the period also updates the vessel list according to the following logic:
Transitions falling within the selected period are identified.
Voyages containing these transitions are determined.
Vessels associated with these voyages are added to the list.

Include Charter Out Voyages
Voyages contain a Type field. If the Include Charter Out Voyages checkbox is cleared, all transitions belonging to voyages with the Charter Out type are excluded from the report.
By default, this option is disabled.
Vessel Selection
The report scope can be limited to specific vessels:
Vessels are selected using the corresponding checkboxes.
A context menu, available via right-click, provides bulk selection options such as selecting or clearing all vessels.
When the reporting period is changed, previously selected vessels remain selected if still applicable.

Generating the Report File
After parameter configuration, clicking generates the Excel file.
The output contains two worksheets:
All Port Calls — A detailed list of transitions;
Country-Port — Transitions grouped by ports and countries.
All Port Calls Worksheet

Field and Column Description
Port Call: The port call created for the transition.
Voyage: The voyage to which the transition belongs.
Vessel: The vessel performing the voyage.
Country: The country where the port is located.
Port: The port of the vessel call.
Terminal: The terminal within the port (a port may contain multiple terminals).
ETA: Estimated time of arrival.
ETD: Estimated time of departure.
Type: Transition type abbreviation. Types are configurable and may include standard values such as Loading (L), Discharging (D), Transit (T), Bunkering (B), and Miscellaneous (M). Type definitions are described in the Port Calls article.
Comment: Additional remarks.
List Processing Rules
Duplicate transitions with identical ETA, ETD, port, and vessel are excluded. Duplicates may occur when a single transition represents both the end of one voyage and the start of another.
Transitions with ETD inside the selected period but ETA outside it (at the beginning of the period) are excluded.
Transitions with ETA inside the period but ETD outside it (at the end of the period) are included.
For instance, a transition starting in 2023 and ending in 2024 is excluded for a 2024 report, while a transition starting in 2024 and ending in 2025 is included.
Transitions with neither ETA nor ETD within the selected period are excluded.
Country-Port Worksheet

Field and Column Description
Country: The country where the port is located.
Port: The port used for grouping transitions.
Total Number of Port Calls: The number of transitions for the port (and country) during the selected period.
Percentage (%): The proportion of transitions for the port (and country) relative to the total number of transitions.
Transition Type Columns: A column is created for each transition type present in the data.
If a transition has multiple types, it is counted only in the combined type column, not in individual type columns. For instance, a transition with type DL is counted only in the DL column, not in D or L.
Rows summarizing totals at the country level are highlighted and display aggregated values for all ports within the country.
Exporting the Report
Selecting button generates and saves the Excel file.
A file explorer opens to specify the export location. After confirmation, the generated report can be opened directly.
