This section provides a list of terms and conventions used in the M&R Module, complete with detailed explanations and definitions.

  1. Estimate

    A document containing a preliminary assessment of container maintenance or repair work.

  2. Expense

    An expense entry in an incoming invoice, representing a group of jobs with a defined total cost. Entered as part of the incoming invoice.

  3. Forwarder

    A company responsible for the cargo’s transport and the recipient of rebilled expenses.

  4. Invoice

    A formal document that lists provided services and shows the financial obligation between two parties.

  5. Job

    An individual operation for repairing or servicing a specific container. Jobs are created within expenses and serve as the basic building blocks for service billing.

  6. Lease Agreement Expense

    An expense associated with jobs performed under a lease agreement.

  7. Port Container Expense

    A cost related to container operations or storage at a port. A group of such expenses forms the basis for terminal service invoicing.

  8. Service

    A service entry in an outgoing invoice, created as part of the outgoing invoice.

  9. Spare Part Expense

    An expense involving jobs related to spare parts.

  10. Surveyor

    The party responsible for assessing the damage or cost, typically used in estimate expenses.

  11. Voyage Expense

    An expense related to work performed during or for a specific voyage.
