Search Feature

This article explores the search functionality for lists, available in any relevant module. This feature can be used across all windows and modules that support a List of Objects.

Whether you're managing data, reviewing entries, or organizing information, the search tool is designed to help you quickly find and focus on the items you need. We will demonstrate this feature using the Voyages folder from the Voyage Module as an example.

When accessing a module object with a List of Objects, a table is displayed, presenting a range of entries. For searching, the system scans the entire table and its elements based on the keywords or numeric values you provide.

How Search Works and Where to Find It

  1. To open the search panel, right-click on any column header in the table (e.g., State, Status, Vessel, etc.);

  2. A context menu (dropdown list) will appear;

  3. Select the option;

  4. A search bar with the hint “Enter text to search…” will appear at the top of the List of Objects;

  5. Enter any keyword(s) or numeric values you want to search for;

  6. Click the button next to the search bar or press

    on your keyboard;

  7. The list in the module/ dynamic folder will be filtered based on the keyword(s) or numeric values you entered, displaying only the relevant results.
