Create a Credit Note

A Credit Note is a special type of invoice that refers to another invoice and fully or partially cancels its amount (i.e., the outstanding balance).

  1. Can only be issued for invoices with status Unpaid or Partly Paid.

  2. Cannot be applied to another credit note.

How It Works

  • When the action is triggered, a draft credit note is created and its edit card opens.

  • After saving, the credit note is finalized, and its effect is applied to the original invoice.

Credit Note Structure

  • Contains the same list of services as the original invoice.

  • All service amounts are reversed (with a minus sign).

  • As a result, the total amount of the credit note offsets the original invoice amount.

Cancellation Options and Invoice Status

By default, the credit note cancels the full amount of the original invoice. It is possible to adjust the list of services or amounts to cancel only part of it.

  • When fully canceled, the original invoice receives the status: Paid CN.

  • If only partially canceled, the remaining balance stays active.
