Cargo

The Cargo tab displays a table of all cargo items linked to the bill of lading. Each column corresponds to a field available in the Add Cargo Item window, accessible via the button.

Cargo Item Parameters

  • Cargo Type: Type of cargo, automatically determined from the text entered in the ‘Shipper’s description of goods’ field when the item is saved.

  • Rate Type: Determines the rate used in freight invoices. Automatically assigned when a Client is set or updated in the bill of lading. Can also be set manually via ‘Set rate type’ in the context menu or directly from the freight invoice card. Available options:

    • None – Rate type undefined;

    • Boxes (bulk) – Cargo in standard boxes without pallets or containers;

    • Boxes (pallets) – Boxes on pallets for easier handling and loading;

    • Boxes (mini) – Small boxes for lightweight or compact goods;

    • Boxes (type 208) – Specific box type (208), per client or cargo requirements;

    • Boxes (40) – Boxes loaded into 40-foot containers;

    • Pallets – Standard pallets for stacked cargo;

    • Pallets (mini) – Smaller pallets for compact or lightweight cargo;

    • Containers – Standard shipping containers for intermodal transport;

    • M2 – Cargo measured by area in square meters;

    • M3 – Cargo measured by volume in cubic meters;

    • Tons – Cargo measured by weight in tons;

    • Colli – Total number of cargo units, independent of packaging;

    • Free rate – Custom-defined rate;

    • Lumpsum – Fixed total charge, independent of packaging or weight.

  • Packages / Pallets: Number of boxes and pallets.

  • Gross Weight / Net Weight: Total gross and net weight of the cargo item.

  • Brand: Cargo brand.

  • Shipper’s description of goods: Detailed cargo description.

  • Container / Seal: Container number and seal number.

  • Boxes: Number of boxes inside the container.

  • Notes / Remarks: Additional notes related to the container or cargo item.

An button allows uploading multiple cargo items or containers from an Excel file.
