Clone a Bill of Lading

The Clone a Bill of Lading action is available from the dropdown menu next to the

Create a Bill of Lading

button (downward arrow icon).

This action creates a copy of the selected bill of lading from the list of objects.

• After selecting Clone a Bill of Lading, a new bill of lading is created and opened in edit mode.

• The cloned bill of lading is not saved until the

  OK

  button is pressed.

Field Behavior When Cloning a Bill of Lading

When a bill of lading is cloned, most fields are copied from the original record. To prevent duplication of system and reference data, the following fields are updated or cleared in the new bill of lading:

• Status → set to Draft.

• B/L Number field → original name with _Copy appended.

• Created Date field → set to the current date and time.

• Created By field → set to the current user.

• Reference № → cleared.

• Freight Invoice → cleared.

• Container lists → cleared for all cargo items.
