Deals
A deal is the main object of the module and represents an agreement with a counterparty. It captures a structured set of operations aimed at achieving a defined economic outcome.
Deals typically involve ongoing business activity across one or multiple voyages. This activity generates both expenses and revenue, which are initially recorded as estimates and later realized as accruals, invoices, and related payments.
Deals are handled by operators and managers. Based on the outcome, commissions may be assigned to responsible or associated parties, including third parties.
The difference between total revenue and expenses forms the deal’s Profit & Loss (P&L). After deducting all applicable commissions, the final figure is recorded as the
Deal Result.
